The LPGA landed in Phoenix, Arizona a few weeks ago and I was able to spend a day; with my first client, LPGA Hall of Famer, Carol Mann. Carol was the ninth player ever inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame. The tournament was honoring the legend’s of women’s golf and she had accepted the invitation.

What I noticed most in being with Carol was the grace she exhibited with her Hall of Fame elders on the tour, contemporaries, current players and even little girls who wanted her autograph. She introduced me to everyone we met as her “life coach for 30 years.” Our lunch conversation about performance with Joanne Carner, Hall of Famer and friend, and an aspiring young lady from the tour along with her father was a highlight of my time at the course.

One more highlight that I can’t leave out was the introduction I received from Carol Mann to Marilyn Smith who is generally credited with being the driving force in establishing the LPGA. She was kind enough to autograph a copy of her book, “Have Clubs, Will Travel.” Carol is currently available for speaking tours and is a storehouse of golf lore.
